Healthy Summer Popsicles
Hot days call for cool treats. But too often the cool treats we give our kiddos are loaded with sugar and chemicals, causing their blood sugar to skyrocket and them to act out of sorts– not the recipe for a perfect summer afternoon for anyone. With that in mind, I am sharing a popular Popsicle option that many people can make at home for their children … and themselves!
You can use your imagination and create amazing and delicious Popsicles with the ingredients that you already love.
Recipe:
1 cup of organic coconut yogurt
1 cup of fruits of your preference cut in slices
chia seeds
1/4 cup pure raw honey
Mix all ingredients and add the mixture to the Popsicle machine (I have a ZOKU) but you can use any machine you want or even freeze the Popsicles in silicone forms. After 1 hours in the freezer they will be ready! Have fun with your creativity. They can also be covered with dark chocolate and almond flakes.
